One of the most important things that goes unnoticed in the gym is hygiene.  There are many bugs, viruses, and bacteria flying around the gym at any given time.  Add in humidity, lots of people, bad habits, and cold weather, and it all becomes even worse. 

All this doesn’t mean that you should steer clear of the gym, it just means that you have to use caution.  Here are some recommendations to follow to protect yourself in the gym.

The package consists of a microdermabrasion applicator, an attachment head,12 rejuvenating puffs and two AA battery units.  The system applicator (using one rejuvenating puff per session) can be used up to three times a week to massage your skin, giving it a gentle exfoliation.  The rejuvenating disposable puffs, which consist of mild purifiers and ultra-fine crystals, foams up with water and scrubs your face clean of dead skin cells and evens out rough patches.

Neutrogena advises a 1 to 2 minute application, although I’ve personally been using it for about 4 to 5 minutes for my entire face to great results.  The massage truly boosts face circulation and oxygenation as claimed - my skin has never been as radiant as it is after use of the Healthy Skin Rejuvenator.  Apart from that, the product claims to decrease pore size, diminish wrinkles and reduce the prominence of age spots. While I’ve seen only slight improvements in that area, I’m sure continued use will help facilitate it.

If there ever was a caveat to this product, it has to be the price.  Since the puffs are single use only, the kit will only last you a full month if you use it thrice a week as directed.  You’ll have to keep buying new puffs if you want continued use.  It will probably be worth it, though, since the product makes you both feel and look good!

After using the Skin Rejuvenator for several days, I have to say I love the feel and look of my skin…it feels tight, smooth and appears glowing and healthy. I was amazed at the ease of use of this product. You simply install the batteries (had a little trouble getting the cover off the back) clip on the attachment head, and stick a rejuvenating pad on the attachment. Simple!! I’ve been using mine in the shower…apply a little water to the pad, and massage my face and neck for several min., concentrating on the areas I feel need it most. It suggests focusing on problems areas for 1-2 min…for me this won’t work, as my skin is really sensitive, and the abrasion is too much, so I just focus on those areas for about 20-30 seconds before moving on. The experience of using the skin rejuvenator I found most appealing for the sense of relaxation and glamour I felt. The overall sense was of a warm massage for the facial areas - certainly a treat for those like myself who, though well past the age where wrinkles may be expected to evaporate, love a sense of beauty and pampering. It would be an excellent gift - unless, of course, it were given to anyone who’d be insulted at the thought of needing ‘rejuvenation.’

The Olay Regenerist Derma-Pod Eye System is a very light eye moisturizer in a derma-pod dispenser that you can use to massage the skin area around your eyes.  It purports to facilitate a Triple Action System consisting of skin renewal, filling age lines and minimizing puffiness.

Unfortunately, however, most reviews have tended to discount its effect on dark areas around the eyes.  In fact, when looking at the ingredients, you’ll find it doesn’t necessarily try to reduce the puffiness.  Instead, its counting on the combination of the massaging application plus the moisturizer to provide the necessary stimulation to reduce those dark circles. It does work for some but not for others, so you may want to look for something with more consistent results if you have a problem with puffy eyes.

For lines, crow’s feet and wrinkles, though, it does as claimed, capably reducing their prominence with regular use.  In fact, you’ll probably find yourself very much drawn to the soothing effects of applying the moisturizer using the derma-pod - when you get used to it, that is.  Some people, apparently, do not find the delivery system all that easy to use.  I will attest, though, that once you get the hang of it, you wouldn’t want any other way to apply your eye moisturizer.  The derma-pod packaging might also end up a bit wasteful as it gets harder to squeeze out the last few drops of the cream.

I figured this would be like any other over-the-counter eye product but I was wrong. I immediately noticed the puffiness was gone after only a few minutes of applying. That was after the first use! I followed the directions and it worked just like it said it would. I noticed there was some left over cream after I used this on my eyes. I used the “left over” cream around my cheek and forehead area and I noticed a difference in those areas too! I spent too much time in the sun in my 20’s (I just turned 42) and this is the only product that I’ve tried that actually has shown some reversal of aging, puffiness and lines around my eyes. It makes my makeup look better and I’ve even had coworkers comment on the change in my eye area. They said I look much less tired and my makeup looks really good! I’ve seen some negative reviews of this product but I feel more people are seeing good results instead of none at all. I can’t imagine why someone would find the sponge “scratchy”. The directions to this product are very easy, however the application is not as easy. Squirting the product out of it’s container went well and then you apply it to your eyelids w/ a massaging technique. The edges that you hold onto scraches my eyelids making this an uncomfortable process. I’m not using excesive force. I’ve tried ripping off that part but was just left w/ an evil mess. I still use the product but use my finger to rub it in…
