What causes Forehead Wrinkles?

Do you stand in front in front of the mirror, frown and sigh as you notice the unattractive fine lines on your forehead? Forehead wrinkles can be vertical appearing in the lower part of the forehead or they might also be horizontal forming between the hairline and the eyebrow. One of main reasons for the formation of wrinkles is skin damage due to aging.

The various other reasons which cause the wrinkles are:-
• Besides wrinkles being caused due to normal ageing people might also have a hereditary habit of developing wrinkles at an early age.

• Habitual facial expressions like frowning and smiling also causes wrinkles to form on the forehead. The continuous muscle movements and contractions caused by the facial expressions out of habit over the years can cause wrinkles to appear.

• Often people’s erratic lifestyles are responsible for long term effects on the skin and various parts of the body. The skin’s regeneration process is disturbed by unhealthy habits like smoking and alcohol consumption .Erratic schedules and irregular meals and diets can deteriorate matters.

• Moreover crash dieting leading to fast slimming leads to wrinkles since rapid weight loss causes fast loss of the fat cells in the body.

• Apart from frequent exposures to the sun, other environmental factors like the pollution also causes premature wrinkling by rendering dullness to the skin. While the ozone pollutant reduces the level of Vitamin E antioxidants in the skin, the UV rays of the sun destroy the collagen and elastin proteins which prevent wrinkling. As a means of resilience, the skin produces a protein called metalloproteinase enzymes to repair the damaged skin continuously. And this constant attempt on the part of skin to recover itself causes it to be more vulnerable to forehead wrinkles.

• Some of our natural facial expressions while speaking ,displaying a myriad of emotions and conversing also aid in the development of the wrinkles in the forehead. If you go in front of the mirror and watch yourself engaged in a pretentious conversation, you can see how a little expression can cause tiny wrinkles to appear on the forehead. Do try laughing, frowning, smiling or just wearing a smug face before the mirror and you will know for yourself. Over the years these little impacts have long term effects and help in formation of the wrinkles on the forehead.

Measures to Prevent Forehead Wrinkles.

o You can prevent those forehead wrinkles by improving your lifestyle by following a healthy lifestyle and diet.

o Also use a good and effective sun block as you go out into the sun and anti-pollutants. If possible try not to expose yourself to the harsh weather elements much.

o There are also long term anti-aging cures like Botox and plastic surgery which removes the wrinkles forever.

o For the natural facial expressions, it cannot be expected that you will change them since that is not possible. However, some tiny expressions can be changed or at least considered a little since they make a deeper impact on the forehead.

You can also use an effective quality anti-ageing skin cream and should keep the skin clean and moisturized. This will not only prevent the existing wrinkles from being evident or prominent but will also prevent further wrinkles from appearing on the forehead.

Best Face Cream For Normal Skin

What’s the best face cream for normal skin?  Ask that question at any online forum and you’ll get a million varied answers, with each respondent claiming to have “the best solution for you.”

I actually asked that once and I ended up trying a number of the suggested best face creams.  Based on what I’ve tried along with feedback from other users, these suggestions have become my favorites:

  • Products based on Argan oil.  Argan oil is an organic mineral that has been widely used in Israel and Morocco for a long time.  Filled with heaping amounts of antioxidants, it creates moisturizing and healing effects on skin throughout your body.  While it hasn’t made much dent in the mass market (it’s a little expensive), Argan oil is extensively used by many beauty experts and has been mentioned in the ingredients of some of the best face creams many models use in their beauty regimen.
  • Vitamin E-based products were continually mentioned among the best face creams and I couldn’t disagree.  Vitamin E is a terrific ingredient for repairing skin, apart from retaining a great amount of moisture.
  • Botanical-based products have long been a staple of anti-wrinkle creams and were suggested heavily throughout.
  • Nano-Lipobelle H-EQ10 is an ingredient in some of the best face cream recommendations that I was given during the time.  I was surprised, since I’ve never heard of it before.  After a bit of research, though, I found out that it was actually a substance that spurred both collagen and elastin production, reviving the activity that usually diminishes with age.

In your later years, anti-wrinkle skin treatments are a mandatory proposition if you want to retain as much of your looks as possible.  Your only other option is letting nature (and years upon years of damage) take its course - a path that isn’t likely to benefit you a single bit.

As you reach your 40s, all the years of sun damage begin to take its toll, in the form of blotches, red spots and flushing.  Your skin will be eroding collagen, leaving it drier for longer periods.  If you’ve ever needed anti wrinkle skin treatments, that time is now.  Don’t even think twice about it.

Many in their 50s choose to retire from the skin care game, letting whatever happens just take its place.  Truth is, though, no one’s ever too old to enjoy anti wrinkle skin treatments.   Even in your 50s, you can stop the progression of any damage that’s already taken place.

The older you get, the slower skin cell turnover becomes, leaving your skin drier and losing elasticity.  Every flaw - from lines to wrinkles - become all that more prominent.

For your anti-wrinkle skin treatment well into these more advanced years, always go for a creamy, foaming non-soap cleanser for washing your skin both day and night.  Use moisturizers that contain heavy amounts of peptides and antioxidants, applying them while your skin is still damp.  Before bed, use a nighttime moisturizer, preferably with prescription doses of retinoid, to work its wonders on your skin.

An exciting new batch of studies is showing that antioxidants can help protect against thymine dimers and consequently reduce your risk of getting skin cancer. Research has found that the powerful antioxidants Vitamins C and E can both reduce the severity of sunburns and significantly reduce the incidence of thymine dimers. Green tea has also been shown to have protective qualities. To protect yourself from skin cancer, it might help if you understand a bit about thymine dimers and their role in causing cancerous lesions.

Thymine is a base pair that forms some of the blocks in the “ladder,” or double-helix structure, of everyone’s DNA. When thymines are exposed to sunlight, they bind together and become thymine dimers (they’re called “dimers” because there are two thymines: “di” is the latin prefix  for “double”).

When this happens, your body responds with a cellular process that splits up the dimers so they become two separate thymines again. The problem is, each time the thymines are split there’s a chance that a mutation will occur–and some mutations can be cancerous.

Freeze 24 / 7 Anti-Aging Eye Serum

freeze Freeze 24 / 7 Anti Aging Eye SerumFreeze 24 / 7 Anti-Aging Eye Serum is an antioxidant-based product that quickly and effectively eliminates signs of aging around the eye area.  The manufacturers like highlighting a quote in their promotional copies that we’d like to reproduce here.

“I’m trying not to get too excited, but I am convinced this is the best antioxidant I have seen yet,” as quoted from Dr. Leslie Bauman, a dermatology professor from the University of Miami, in a 2004 issue of Allure Magazine.  The quote, as we can surmise, is in reference to Freeze’s Advanced GABA Active Technology, which is the major component of the 24 / 7 Anti-Aging Eye Serum.

With this particular antioxidant, the product is able to create notable improvements in the appearance of aging signs around the eyes, including wrinkles, fine lines, puffiness and dark circles.  Additionally, it’s touted to protect the skin around the eyes from environmental damage, keep it moist and leave it smoother.

Personally, I’m hard-pressed to buy into an antioxidant-based anti-aging product so I looked up its many reviews.  The general verdict is that the 24 / 7 Anti-Aging Eye Serum is a short-term but effective treatment for temporarily diminishing fine lines and wrinkles around the eyes, although almost everyone looking for a long-term solution were unable to find it with this product.

Here is a review that, we believe, summarizes what the Freeze 24 / 7 Anti-Aging Eye Serum can do for you:

This product exceeded my expectations although it is a temporary fix for fine lines and puffiness. Temp or not, I plan on using it as part of my daily AM make-up routine. Lines were smoothed and my eyes looked better within minutes–the results last all day. You can also use it around you lip line to smoothe vertical lines. The first day I tried it, my husband asked me what was “different.”

I never review products but wanted to help spread the word–this one’s good and I hope it works for others as well as it did for me.

The Freeze 24 / 7 Anti-Aging Eye Serum is currently available in .5 oz bottles from Amazon.
