In all honesty, finding the best face cream might be one of the most difficult things you’re going to have to do.  In fact, for most women, it’s a matter of trial and error - trying all sorts of skin products until one finally hits the mark.

If you have no specific skin problems and just want a face cream as part of your regular beauty regimen, a good all-purpose moisturizer should do the trick.  Products rich in hydrating ingredients that stimulate both elastin and collagen production are best - even when you don’t need them yet.

Do make sure you’re familiar with your skin type, though.  Using too potent a product when you have sensitive skin, for instance, can create serious havoc that might leave you with more problems than you bargained for.

A separate daytime and nighttime moisturizer usually works best for most people.  Daytime products typically apply thinner while holding steadfastly on the skin, allowing you to put makeup and cosmetics over it.  Particularly important is to look for products that contain extra protection from sun damage since you’ll likely spend some time exposed to UV rays. Nighttime products are usually intended to be applied thickly, with little active contents intended to protect your skin from the sun and environment.
