Oily, mixed or dry skins are the result of a big number of external and internal factors; you might have a genetic predisposition to have a very oily skin that insists to remain shiny even thou you’ve spent all your wage in the best astringents, tonics and oil free hydrating lotions or maybe your skin is so dry that no matter how many hydrating infusions you feed her with, she keeps insisting on staying incredibly dry.
There might be a physiological cause for this; maybe you have some hormonal unbalance, which is many times the cause for extremely oily skins - or maybe you’re just feeding your skin the wrong aliments.
Everything you eat reflects itself in and outside your body. Some foods will make your complexion brighter, some will help your defence mechanisms produce more collagen thus fighting early ageing symptoms, while some fruits will give your cells such an amount of water that you’re skin will look hydrated at all times.
Of course, this does not happen overnight and you must insist on a consistent diet but, most dermatologists agree that what you eat affects your skin very strongly.
The consume of a large amount of fruits and vegetables, preferably raw or vapour cooked, is mandatory for a healthier, more hydrated and balanced skin.
An oily skin is not an over-hydrated skin so don’t be afraid to eat water-rich fruits if you have an oily complexion.
Hydrating your skin will help the excess of oil to dissipate and your skin to be energised and healthily hydrated, in every possible skin scenario.
Eat and drink smarter, you’ll see the differences.
Keep a consistent schedule for your meals; it’s not just about eating the right foods but also about keeping an eating routine. Not only your skin will thank you, but also your figure will say its thanks to the mirror, I’m sure!

There is variety of skin products available in the market. We have to analyze first the type of skin whether it is oily, normal or sensitive. The oily skin is more reactive to the creamy products and it still makes the skin oily. The normal skin should be maintained as it is, but by using wrong skin products the basic nature of the normal skin can even change. The products applied on the sensitive skin should be more careful because it may cause blisters. The products should be tested for the small area of the skin before it is applying to the whole body. We have to be very cautious while using skin products. In traditional days, they did not use any cosmetics made of chemicals. They use natural products like aloevera and it is very essential for the healthy skin. As the skin is the only organ which can depict our beauty, it should be maintained with extreme care. A little careless towards the skin, will leads spoil the whole body and it causes rashes and itches. Skin disease is the most severe disease in the world. Some of the disease can be curable and some may not be curable. So we have to protect the skin by using right type of quality cosmetics to our skin. Otherwise it will create rashes, itches etc. If we don’t have any idea about skin or bases of skin, better don’t use cosmetics at all. Turmeric is the best medicine to the skin disease.

A lot of people make the mistake of using harsh treatments for oily skin. While a strong soap or a similar chemical might seem like a good idea to help get rid of excess grease, it’s actually more likely to leave it oilier than ever before.
Removing grease from your face, after all, doesn’t work the same way as cleaning off cooking oil from dishes. While a rough brush, boiling water and strong detergents will swatch off that grease off your plates and pots, your skin will actually react differently to the same behavior. Sure, the chemicals will wash the oil off your face . However, the cleansing will be short-lived and you’ll have your body pushing sebum up the surface of your skin in no time.
When you engage in the same harsh treatments for oily skin, your body compensates by doubling its oil production, leaving you worse off than you were previously. If you really want to clear off all that shine, you will need to resort to mild and gentle treatments for oily skin.
Astringents - Alcohol-based astringents may work well to remove the shine fast but they’ll do it by drying up your skin, forcing your body to produce even more oil in the process. Use a water-based astringent instead if you want to keep those shiny cheeks away.
Soaps - Forget all the chemical-laden wonder soaps and opt for a gentle cleanser instead. Additionally, never scrub your skin, trying to push all the grease off - it will go in its own time.
Moisturizers - If you need to put on a moisturizer, use an oil-free brand with sunscreen protection, if possible.

Skin care natural products are all the rage these days. Finally, people are learning to veer away from harsh treatments that can actually do more to harm and damage the skin. Even those with oily skin, who at one time were subjected to the harshest chemicals imaginable, are moving towards the gentler and more soothing effects of skin care natural products.
Oily Skin
While the traditional treatment for oily skin has been has been harsh detergents and alcohol-based astringents, it has been proven that these products end up stripping away skin lipids, which only end up prodding the body to raise its oil production all the more. Most dermatologists today pretty much agree that for oily skin care, natural products are the real solution.
Natural Skin Care Products For Oily Skin
If you’re going to treat your oily skin, look for products that contain no alcohols or mineral oils - those will leave you worse for wear. Instead, opt for water-based and gentle skin care natural products. Ingredients to look for include powerful antioxidants like green tea extract and white, calming oils like lavender and chamomile as well as oil-stripping natural components like oatmeal.
Harsh treatments are old news for oily skin. When it comes to skin care, natural products rule the roost, whatever your skin type.

Oily skin is not necessarily bad. For one, the extra moisture oily skin locks in should help keep signs of aging at bay. However, it does play fodder to clogged pores, pimples and blemishes, apart from looking uncomfortably shiny.
Relieving oily skin isn’t the easiest thing. Excessive oil production, after all, is something that happens with your internal body processes instead of something that just irritates your outer skin layers. In fact, oily skin isn’t likely to be eliminated but can be improved considerably, along with helping you avoid developing further blemishes.
Oily skin treatments generally try to remove excess oil and dead cells from the surface without damaging any other part of your skin. Use too harsh of a treatment and you can end up stripping skin lipids, prodding the body to produce even more oil.
A first step to helping ease problems that come with oily skin is regular cleansing. Generally, you want to avoid harsh detergents when washing your face. Mild cleansers free from oil or wax ingredients should work best. Face cleansing soaps and washes with low concentrations of AHA and BHA should work very well. Make sure to keep your face clean with simple washing of these mild products at least twice a day.
Using a non-alcohol based astringent is also recommended for removing excess oil. Alcohol based astringents are usually too harsh and may prompt even greater sebum production. While moisturizing is not necessary for oily skin, you may also use one if your skin feels too dry after washing. Lastly, avoid a diet rich in oily and high-fat food, such as fried dishes, animal fat and sugars.
